Perhaps Brown’s win was a referendum
I wrote a post last week that Brown’s win was not a referendum on Obama’s presidency. However, this week I’m starting to change my mentality some. There are a couple of reasons for this. Polls indicate that 70% of the public was satisified that the dems lost their filibuster proof majority. The second reason being that Obama brought back David Plouffe. Plouffe was an essential member of Obama’s campaign in 2008. A person in which I think Obama regards very highly. If he brough Plouffe back he knows that something has gone terribly wrong and he needs help.
What really do people have to be upset about? There are only two things I can think of it’s either the Democrat’s healthcare plan or the economy. My guess is the latter but seasoned professionals may disagree. Is the public shallow enough to think that Obama and the dems are responsible for this economic crash that was instilled by Bush and co? Are they upset because they haven’t fixed all the problems in 1 year that took 8 to creaet? I really do think this is the case which is why dems really need to start reminding the public who caused all this insanity. Which administration had to start TARP because they had completely demolished the economy?
One thing is certain now that Brown has taken Kennedy’s seat. Nancy Pelosi said it herself. The healthcare bill has hit a road block. This was further enforced by Jim Webb, a democrat, who said congress should not try to rush a bill through until Brown is seated. It appears Obama has hit the same road block attempted by the Clinton’s.
